I became the La Entrada librarian in the 2016-2017 school and I absolutley love my job. Prior to joining the LE staff, I was a teacher and instructional coach in Sunnyvale. I spent 16 years as a classroom teacher before becoming a librarian.
I come from a family of teachers. My mom, dad, stepmom, sister, husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and brother-in-law are/were all teachers. I have always loved books and reading, so it was a dream of mine to be a school librarian. I grew up in Ohio and started teaching there when I graduated from Kent State University. I moved to California in 2004. I then got my MLS from San Jose State University.
When I'm not at school or reading, I enjoy spending time with my 2 sons, sewing, baking, and traveling. You can also find me on my Peloton tread early in the morning.
I'm happy to be here and love working with the students, parents, and staff of this wonderful community.
