Caring Climate Club (4th and 5th Grade Students)

The Caring Climate Club aims to build a more caring climate among students within the school campus.  The group consists of students, parent volunteers, and teacher volunteers who meet once a month during 4th and 5th grade lunch.

Current projects:
*New Student Guide Program.  A student who is new to La Entrada is paired up with a student guide in the same grade level.  In addition to welcoming the new student and familiarizing him/her with the school, the student guide also introduces him/her to others, walks him/her to classes on the first day, and sits with him/her at lunch during the new student’s first week.

Caught with Kindness Program.  Students and teachers nominate others who they noticed were going “above and beyond” by being kind to someone.  The students who were nominated are recognized during morning announcements and receive a “Caught with Kindness” bracelet.
