WHAT IS ACS?

 Adolescent Counseling Services  connex

Adolescent Counseling Services provides students at La Entrada Middle School with free individual counseling for students who are referred by guidance counselors, administrators and teachers. Counseling services are provided by two trained therapists, both in their last year of finishing their Master’s Degree in counseling program.
Elizabeth Harris is the Site Manager at La Entrada this year.  She is passionate about providing school-based counseling and also about supporting parents here on the Peninsula.
The staff of ACS provide weekly individual and group supervision as well as training so the therapists can complete their hours towards licensure.
Students are referred to ACS by school staff based on a variety of issues, such as academic stress, peer issues, anxiety, depression, anger management and family issues. Counseling services are confidential, voluntary and free of charge.
All therapists work closely with La Entrada staff to help meet students’ academic and personal goals. ACS requires parent permission, provides sessions/phone consultations with parents and offers referrals to outside therapists and community services as needed. Parents may also contact us directly to refer their child to ACS.
Our team is available by email, phone or by appointment.
