Some background on Bjorn:
Bjorn earned his undergraduate degree from Davidson College in Spanish and Political Science, his Master’s in Education from Stanford’s Teacher Education Program, and his Master’s in Administration from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. For his first six years as a Spanish teacher, he taught Spanish language and Heritage Spanish at a large, urban San Francisco high school and a small charter high school in Redwood City. He spent his final six years in the classroom teaching Spanish language and serving as a dean at Woodside Middle School before stepping into the Vice Principal role at Oceana High School in Pacifica. In each of these contexts, he was reminded of the power of nurturing strong interpersonal relationships, thoughtfully employing data and research when making decisions, and maintaining a steady focus on students and equity.

Bjorn and his husband are avid travelers, and he also likes to garden, go to the gym, socialize, and bake occasionally. Family is very important to him, and he frequently travels home to Las Vegas to spend time with his parents. He is excited to meet our team and be a Leopard!

Bjorn enjoys meeting with our students, staff, parents, and community members. His “door is open,” and he hopes you’ll drop by to offer your insights and support or to say “hola” in person if on campus.
